CURUPIRA

(FOREST GUARDIAN)

A dwarf protector of the forest and animals. He has fiery red hair and backwards feet to trick hunters. Those who seek to harm/burn the forest will have to face him.

Great physical strenght and agility
Whistle and imitate human voices and sounds
Deceive humans to get lost or go crazy in the forest
Bewitch children to follow/join him

WEAKNESS

Tie a knot in a piece of vine so he gets distracted

OFFERINGS

(when entering the forest)

Tobacco, pinga/cachaça (spirits), feathers, and blankets

Indigenous people give offerings when entering the forest to not be victimized. He will tolerate hunters who only seek to survive and provide for their family.
